    November 19, 1849 – January 1, 1935

Kazimierz Klemens Waliszewski was a Polish historian who primarily studied Russian history. His detailed and scholarly works cover nearly three centuries of Russian history, from Ivan the Terrible to the end of the 19th century. Waliszewski devoted over thirty years to research in archives and libraries across Europe, presenting his findings in works primarily written in French. Beyond Russian history, he also explored Polish history, defending his country's past against hostile Russian and German interpretations.
