Ženy mají mnohem více ochranných faktorů proti hladomoru, dnešním jazykem řečeno předpokladů k tloustnutí: více tukových buněk, větších, více lipogenních enzymů, které ukládají tuk, méně lipolitických enzymů, co ho uvolňují, o 40 % svalů, v jejichž mitochondriích se pálí... Navíc ženy mají ještě záložní ochranný program na přežití - pokud dojde k hladovění delšímu než 72 hodin (redukční dieta!), zpomalí se jejich metabolismus a zastaví uvolňování tuků do té doby, dokud je jinde co brát - třeba i vlastní svaly. Navíc si to ženské tukové buňky pamatují a jakmile dojde k vyššímu příjmu potravy oproti předešlému hladovění, začnou přednostně ukládat tuk - tzv. JO-JO efekt. Po několika redukčních dietách máte metabolismus, který bude tloustnout i po troše zeleniny! Nejvíc mně šokovalo to, že se osobám, které chtějí ztloustnout, k tomu doporučuje přerušovaná redukční dieta. Vliv redukční diety může přetrvávat i více než rok a zastaví normální redukci váhy i na řadu měsíců. Autorka radí rozhodně okamžitě s redukčními dietami přestat, nikdy víc nezačít a obrnit se trpělivostí při likvidaci jejich následků. V knize se dozvíte hlavně jaká je podstata oné diety. Jen je třeba odolat pokušení "zázračných" diet a uvědomit si, že najíst se dosyta a přitom si na jídle pochutnat není žádný zázrak, ale přirozený požadavek těla, kterému bez problémů můžete vyhovět. Přitom budete bez pocitu omezování se hubnout a posléze si udržovat váhu. Chce to jen začít a už nikdy nepřestat. Myslím si, že to jde.Věřte, že se budete cítit mnohem lépe než dřív a vrátit se ke starému způsobu života již nebudete toužit. Zkuste to taky a uvidíte.
