Originally published in two volumes by Carta, Jerusalem. Yohanan Aharoni (1919-1976) was born in Germany, June 7, 1919, and immigrated to Palestine in 1933. He became the professor of archeology, chairman of the Department of Archeology and the Near East Studies and chairman of the Institute of Archeology at the University of Tel-Aviv. The Macmillan Bible Atlas depicts religious, political, military, and economic events of the Old Testament, Second Temple, Intertestamental, New Testament and Early Church periods in Bible history.
