Father Maloney was a Jesuit priest who later served in the Eastern Orthodox Church, bringing a deep understanding of Oriental theology and spirituality. As an internationally recognized director of contemplative ministries and a retreat leader, his work focused on theology, true prayer, and Eastern Christian spirituality adapted for Western audiences.
