Robin Bryans

Robin Bryans was a storyteller whose works drew from an incredibly diverse range of life experiences. His travel books, often focusing on Portuguese-influenced destinations, were full of detail, humor, and fascinating anecdotes. Later, he turned his attention to his native Northern Ireland, reveling in its art, architecture, and country gardens, which he also pursued in popular television programs. Bryans' refreshingly different view on life, combined with his extensive geographic knowledge and skill at drawing out the characters of the people he met, made his work a treasure trove of human documentary.
