Anne de Vries

    May 22, 1904 – November 29, 1964

    A Dutch author, primarily known for his children's books and regional novels. He is most recognized for his two books about Bartje Bartels, a boy living in Drenthe, a rural province in the northern Netherlands. Following World War II, he also penned a young adult novel detailing the Dutch resistance during the German occupation.
