“Zakhor!” means “remember!” in Hebrew. Under the motto, artists from Vilnius were invited to creatively focus on the subject of “Jewish Life and Jewish Culture in Vilnius” and put their memories, thoughts and ideas on paper or canvas. A selection of thirty of the works submitted in this competition are compiled in this catalogue. These works will be exhibited worldwide over the next few years, in places where the descendants of Lithuanian Jews live today, such as Argentina, Brazil, Israel, South Africa, and the US.
