Frank Buck je druhým světovým zjevem vedle manželů Johnsonových. Rozdělil se s nimi o džungle, proslulé svým bohatstvím zvěře, ponechav si celou Asii. Chytá nejvzácnější a nejnebezpečnější tropickou zvěř pro americké zoologické zahrady a cirkusy. Čtyřicetkrát přeplul Tichý oceán, pětkrát obeplul svět, přemohl rozzuřeného orangutana v poctivém zápase, prošel napříč záhadný ostrov Borneo a je znám po celém světě jako sběratel nejvzácnějších exemplářů živých zvířat.
