Anne Birkenhauer, geboren 1961 in Essen, studierte nach einem dreijährigen Aufenthalt in Israel Judaistik und Germanistik in Berlin. Nach Abschluss ihres Studiums zog sie erneut nach Israel, wo sie bis heute lebt. Sie ist als Übersetzerin aus dem Hebräischen sowie als Dozentin tätig und leitet außerdem im Rahmen des ViceVersa-Programms die Deutsch-Hebräische Übersetzerwerkstatt.
