Miserere Songs of Mercy and Redemption is a sequence of reflections on the theme of mercy, in response to the recent and ongoing tragic conflicts in the Middle East and other regions. Woven around verses selected from Psalm 51, the inspiration for composers from Allegri to Prt, the work features an eclectic range of settings of Rumi, St Thomas Aquinas, Isaac Watts, Carol Barratt and Dylan Thomas. Scored for countertenor or mezzo-soprano, solo cello, mixed chorus, strings, harp and percussion, Miserere Songs of Mercy and Redemption is a profound meditation on humanity and atonement, from the composer of The Armed Man

(Boosey & Hawkes Chamber Music). A moto perpetuo showpiece, Chatterbox! was commissioned by Joo Yeon Sir for performance in the Young Artist Series at St John Smith Square, London, in May 2016. To add to the effect a metronome (set to 140 beats per minute) may be optionally be added. Alternative accompaniment for string orchestra is available on hire from Boosey & Hawkes.

(Boosey & Hawkes Chamber Music). Composed for Emma Halnan, winner of The Arts Club Sir Karl Jenkins Music Award 2016. The composer comments that "for the first ten years of this century, I lived and composed on the Gower Peninsula, an area of sandy beaches and dramatic cliff scenery with coastal caves; the first area in the UK to be officially designated as one of outstanding natural beauty. Living in an old mill alongside the Bury Pill stream, I wrote from a stable block, enjoying a vista across Cheriton Valley and the river to Ryers Down. This work is a musical reflection of time spent there." Suitable for advanced standard performers.
