Ray Carney

Ray Carney is an American scholar and critic, primarily known for his work as a film theorist, though he also writes extensively on American art and literature. He is particularly recognized for his in-depth studies of the works of actor and director John Cassavetes. Carney teaches in the American Studies department at Boston University and has authored several books exploring American art and philosophy.
