Greg Tate

Greg Tate was a music and popular culture critic and journalist whose work appeared in numerous publications. He was celebrated for his essays that incisively analyzed the relationship between music, race, and American society. His writing was marked by intellectual depth and a passionate engagement with artistic creation, particularly within Black culture. Tate also led the internationally touring ensemble Burnt Sugar The Arkestra Chamber, reflecting his connection between critical thought and artistic practice.
