Brother Adam

Brother Adam, born Karl Kehrle, was a Benedictine monk and beekeeper who became an international authority on bee breeding. His life's work was dedicated to developing a new bee breed that would combine the hardiness of the native British bee with the disease resistance of the Italian bee, alongside excellent honey production. To achieve this goal, he embarked on extensive journeys across the globe, seeking isolated regions to obtain pure bee strains. His dedication and extensive knowledge led to the creation of a significant bee breed that carries his legacy.
