Runer Jonsson

    June 29, 1916 – October 29, 2006

Rune Jonsson was a Swedish writer and journalist, primarily known for his seven-part series of humorous children's books about the peaceful Viking, Vik. Vik, the son of Chief Halvara, is small but cleverer than all the other warriors combined, often using his wit to solve problems his father and his men get into. Jonsson also had a long career in journalism, with his criticism of Nazism in the 1940s being particularly courageous.
