Clark Wissler Books

Focusing on the forms and distribution of Plains Indian attire, this comparative study delves into the intricacies of men's shirts, coats, and women's dresses. Originally published in 1915 by the American Museum of Natural History, it serves as a foundational piece of anthropological research. The reprint enhances accessibility for modern researchers, crafters, and hobbyists by replacing the original small black and white photographs with large, full-color images, providing a vivid representation of the specimens.

The book is a facsimile reprint of a scarce antiquarian work, preserving its historical significance despite potential imperfections like marks and flawed pages. It aims to protect and promote cultural literature by providing a modern edition that remains true to the original. This effort highlights the importance of accessibility to classic texts for contemporary readers.
