Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec

    November 24, 1864 – September 9, 1901

Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec was a French painter and printmaker whose immersion in the colourful and theatrical life of fin de siècle Paris yielded an œuvre of exciting, elegant, and provocative images of modern and decadent Parisian life. He is known alongside Cézanne, Van Gogh, and Gauguin as one of the greatest painters of the Post-Impressionist period. His art captures the unique atmosphere and characters of his time with a distinctive style and remarkable perspective. His work continues to resonate today with its vibrancy and intimate view of the world he inhabited.
