Emmi Smid is an illustrator and author of children's books based in the Netherlands. She believes that picture books offer a perfect avenue to introduce young children to difficult, profound topics without the feeling of being lectured. Consequently, Emmi enjoys crafting picture books that address social taboos and highlight current global issues.
