Kerstin Thorvall was one of Sweden's most renowned authors, simultaneously becoming one of its most criticized and widely read. Her works, particularly "The Most Forbidden," gave rise to a distinct literary genre known as "confession literature." Appreciation for her authorship grew with each passing year, notably through her memoir trilogy.
