Kirk R.M. Books
Raymond Maurice Kirk is a Professor of Surgery at University College London and an Honorary Consulting Surgeon at the Royal Free Hospital. His career was marked by service during World War II aboard HMS Ajax and later on a minesweeper in the Mediterranean, which was later loaned to Jacques Cousteau. Post-war, Kirk pursued medicine, becoming a consultant surgeon. He was a pioneer in developing basic surgical skills courses and minimal access techniques. Additionally, he served as Chief Editor of the Annals of Surgery and has authored numerous books on general surgery and surgical techniques for training surgeons.
