Miguel Delibes

    October 17, 1920 – March 12, 2010

A Spanish novelist who emerged as a prominent figure in Spanish literature following the Civil War. Initially a journalist, he gradually transitioned to dedicating himself exclusively to writing novels. His works are distinguished by an intimate knowledge of the fauna and flora of his geographical surroundings, coupled with a passion for hunting and the rural world. He masterfully captured the essence of Castile and the hunt from the perspective of an urban individual who had not lost touch with that environment.
