Nechybí ani následovníci zakladatelské generace, jako Ross Macdonald, Ruth Rendellová či Georges Simenon. I když almanachy představují pouze ochutnávku, dík patří nakladateli a překladateli Jiřímu Kobělkovi za seriózní výkon. Tento svazek v hezké obálce by rozhodně neměl uniknout nikomu, kdo se o detektivku dvacátého století zajímá více než jen jako o kratochvíli do vlaku.
