Joseph Louis Lagrange Books

Joseph-Louis Lagrange was an Enlightenment mathematician and astronomer whose work significantly advanced mathematical analysis, number theory, and mechanics. His comprehensive treatise on classical mechanics, developed in Berlin, offered a complete treatment of the subject since Newton. Later in life, he was deeply involved in the decimalization efforts in Revolutionary France and became a foundational professor of analysis.
