Robert Bryndza Biography
Robert Bryndza is a British writer and screenwriter living in Slovakia. He is best known for his crime series featuring Detective Erika Foster, including The Girl in the Ice and The Night Stalker. His writing is fast-paced and grounded in emotional realism. He focuses on atmosphere and character rather than shock value. His stories balance procedural detail with strong human drama.

Robert Bryndza was born in 1979 in Lowestoft, UK. He started writing at the age of 13, when his parents bought him a typewriter for Christmas. He studied acting at the Guilford School of Acting in London, but did not find a place in it later, so he tried his hand at writing a play called Branko & Branka. As it was a success at the Edinburgh Theatre Festival in 2007, he decided to pursue writing professionally. But before he made his breakthrough, he worked as an actor in Los Angeles, where he met his current husband, Jan Bryndza, who was working as a make-up artist on a film.
