Robert Harold Schuller was an American Christian televangelist, pastor, motivational speaker, and author. He rose to prominence in 1955 by preaching from the roof of a concession stand at a drive-in movie theater, demonstrating a passion and a knack for reaching people. Schuller incorporated elements of psychology into his messages, offering a "feel-good gospel" to many within the Christian community. However, some criticized his financial practices, arguing that funds spent on buildings could be better used to aid the poor.
