Raymond Zinke Gallun was an early science fiction writer who gained prominence in the pre-World War II era. A world traveler with a multitude of jobs, Gallun sold his compelling stories to pulp magazines. His early works, such as "Old Faithful," laid the foundation for his literary career. Gallun also experimented with various pseudonyms, including Arthur Allport and William Callahan, to explore a broader range of publications and genres.
