John Mason Neale Books

Reverend John Mason Neale was an Anglican priest and scholar who significantly enriched English hymnody. He is best known as a creator and, especially, a translator of many ancient and medieval hymns from Latin and Greek. His work introduced English-speaking congregations to the rich tradition of Latin, Greek, Russian, and Syrian hymns. Neale also penned mystical and devotional commentaries on the Psalms and was a pioneer in translating Eastern liturgies.
