The King. Diary of a Latin King is the striking chronicle of César Andrade (aka King Manaba) and his journey to his migrant, Inca, king, and prisoner past; the journey of Carles Feixa (aka King Book) to meet the Latino kings and queens of Catalonia and beyond; and the combined journey of both towards understanding the ways of life of the unusual transnational nation that is the Almighty Latin King and Queen Nation. The book is the result of multiple conversations over fifteen years, from their first meeting in 2005 during a raid at a youth center in Barcelona to the present. It is a journey through a challenging process of legalization, cultural projects seeking recognition, the experience of prison, and ultimately, freedom. King Manaba's life testimony is complemented by photographs and personal letters, as well as epilogues signed by compatriots from the King Nation and other surrounding nations.
