Frank Cundall

Frank Cundall was a fervent advocate for historical research and the development of Caribbean documentation. During his tenure at the Institute of Jamaica, he focused on building an extensive collection of materials pertaining to all the Caribbean Islands, with a particularly strong emphasis on Jamaica. He leveraged his overseas connections to acquire many exhibits, leading to the swift establishment of an art gallery within the Institute. His work significantly contributed to the development of the present-day National Library of Jamaica, even with minimal government support.
