Amnesty International

    Amnesty International is a United Kingdom-based non-governmental organization focused on human rights. Its stated mission is to campaign for "a world in which every person enjoys all of the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights instruments." In 2016, Amnesty commissioned Here I Stand, a collection of short stories, illustrations, and poems on the topic of human rights, aimed at young people. These initiatives highlight the universal value and importance of protecting human rights for all.
