Fleeing the oncoming war, chief of staff Darrian finds herself marooned on a planet the natives call Earth. Her charge, the prince, is mortally wounded and lies dying. The warrior sent to protect her is doing his job well. But it will take interspecies grafting if all are to survive. Darrian's grafting goes well. But Tom Holman, the male human joining with the prince and warrior, has an agenda of his own. He is a man, once broken, now endowed with power beyond his comprehension. Tom begins a pro football career and a new love life with a beautiful former CIA operative. A twist of fate allows a team of seven international agents led by former KGB super-spy Alex Koslov become Tom's security. Darrian adds seven women to compliment the men guarding Tom. But their task is complex. The governments of Earth want him. An unknown number of alien assassins seek him. And Darrian's goal continues to be getting back home. But her time frame is continually shrinking before the entire truth bursts into the public consciousness.
