Gil Kane was an influential comics artist whose career spanned the 1940s to the 1990s. He is primarily known for his work on modern versions of characters like Green Lantern and the Atom. Kane also co-created Iron Fist and was involved in significant storylines, such as the one addressing drug abuse in The Amazing Spider-Man, which helped to modernize the Comics Code Authority.
