Lubert Stryer Book order

This text focuses on the major topics taught in a one-semester biochemistry course.

This book is an outgrowth of my teaching of biochemistry to undergraduates, graduate students, and medical students at Yale and Stanford. My aim is to provide an introduction to the principles of biochemistry that gives the reader a command of its concepts and language. I also seek to give an appreciation of the process of discovery in biochemistry.

With a balance of topic coverage and depth this updated third edition covers the subject of biochemistry, and reflects the advances made in this field since the second edition published in 1981. These advances are incorporated without loss of historical perspective.
