Muammar al-Gaddafi Books

In 2004, the international embargo and sanctions that had been imposed on Libya for more than a decade were lifted by the UN Security Council when Colonel Muammar Gadaffi announced that Libya would give up its nuclear weapons. Further, Gadaffi agreed to compensate the families of the victims of the Lockerbie bombing and the attack on the TWA flight that occurred in the late 1980s. This remarkable gesture showed Gaddafi’s commitment to seeing Libya rejoin the international community. In the sprit of reconciliation, Prime Minister Tony Blair flew to Tripoli, declaring that Libya was now an ally in the fight against global terrorism. How is this reversal explained? Born from conversations between Gaddafi and political expert Edmond Jouve, this book retraces the Libyan leader's political and ideological journey.

The Green Book is a short book setting out the political philosophy of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. The book was first published in 1975. It was "intended to be read for all people." It is said to have been inspired in part by The Little Red Book (Quotations from Chairman Mao). Both were widely distributed both inside and outside their country of origin, and "written in a simple, understandable style with many memorable slogans." An English translation was issued by the Libyan People's Committee, and a bilingual English/Arabic edition was issued in London by Martin, Brian & O'Keeffe in 1976. During the Libyan Civil War, copies of the book were burned by anti-Gaddafi demonstrators.

الكتاب الأخضر كتاب ألفه العقيد معمر القذافي عام 1975 وفيه يعرض أفكاره حول أنظمة الحكم وتعليقاته حول التجارب الإنسانية كالإشتراكية والحرية والديمقراطية، حيث يعتبر هذا الكتاب بمثابة كتاب مقدس عند معمر القذافي. يتكون الكتاب الاخضر من ثلاثة فصول: الفصل الاول: الركن السياسي ويتناول فيه مشاكل السياسة والسلطة في المجتمع. الفصل الثاني :الركن الاقتصادي فيه حلول المشاكل الاقتصادية التاريخية بين العامل ورب العمل. الفصل الثالث :الركن الاجتماعي وفيه طروحات عن الاسرة والام والطفل والمراة والثقافة والفنون.

Muammar Kaddáfí svoje politické názory zhrnul v Zelené knihe, publikovanej v troch dieloch medzi rokmi 1975 a 1979. Vyjadruje sa tu k rôznym témam od politiky cez spoločenskú morálku až po šport. Myšlienky obsiahnuté v tejto knihe považuje za ideál usporiadania štátu i spoločnosti.
