Charles Edward Stuart Collingwood

    Charles Collingwood was an American journalist and a pioneering television newscaster, recognized as one of the original "Murrow Boys." This esteemed group of journalists, associated with Edward R. Murrow, held significant influence in the mid-20th century. Collingwood rose to become Chief Correspondent for CBS, hosting the program 'Eyewitness to History.' In the late 1960s, he was among the first American journalists permitted into North Vietnam during its conflict with the U.S., experiences he later channeled into a spy novel.
