Jan Brett is one of the nation's foremost children's book author illustrators, with over thirty-three million books in print. Her work is driven by a desire to recreate the immersive experience of truly believing in the imaginary places she draws, using meticulous detail to make these worlds feel real. Drawing inspiration from her childhood passion for picture books and her studies at the Museum of Fine Arts, she integrates fragments of historical art into her creations.
