This course is suitable for BEC candidates and for learners of general business English. BEC is an internationally recognised business qualification that demonstrates an ability to use English in professional contexts. As a University of Cambridge ESOL examination, international companies use it as a suitable entry requirement by academic institutions and for recruitment. Success with BEC provides complete preparation for the BEC exams, but is also an ideal focus for in-company training courses and for business people and students wishing to improve their English and job prospects. The course covers the three levels of the BEC Preliminary, BEC Vantage and BEC Higher.

Designed to enable students to understand and communicate and participate effectively in day-to-day international business conducted in English, this course is for ELT learners at low-intermediate level. Each of the 20 units places the emphasis on speaking and listening, and the reading and vocabulary-building supplements, together with the diagnostic grammar, make the course flexible enough for mixed-ability classes.

Designed to take students from their first introduction to English up to a proficient use of the language, this multi-level course offers choice and flexibility. The 70-hour core syllabus in the student's book allows swift progression with its essential grammar points, systematic vocabulary and skills development, and regular progress checks. There are two resource packs at each level - a general-English pack and a business-English pack. Each contains photocopiable communicative activities which can be used to supplement the core syllabus in the student's book, revise specific language and structures, and provide variety in class. Other materials at each level are a practice book for self-study, a spiral-bound teacher's book which is interleaved with the student's book, two class cassettes and a practice-book cassette. This is the pre-intermediate-level practice-book cassette.

Each Student's Book contains twelve modules divided into the core lessons of Business topic, Business skills and Learning strategies. This module division of material makes it flexible to the needs and requirements of each class.
