Ernest Thompson Seton

    August 14, 1860 – October 23, 1946

Ernest Thompson Seton was a Scots-Canadian author and naturalist whose writings and art celebrate nature and Native American culture. He founded the Woodcraft Indians and significantly influenced the formation of the Scouting movement, particularly its emphasis on connecting with the natural world and indigenous heritage. His works are inspired by his own retreats into the wilderness and a desire to share nature's wisdom with youth through engaging stories and illustrations.
