Robert Arthur Jr. was a celebrated creator of mystery fiction, best known for his radio series The Mysterious Traveler and his Three Investigators novels. His works, often geared towards younger readers, are characterized by their intricate plots and engaging characters. Arthur also contributed to the popular television series Alfred Hitchcock Presents, and served as an uncredited editor for numerous anthologies of mystery and supernatural stories published under Alfred Hitchcock's name. His contributions to radio drama were twice recognized with the Edgar Award from the Mystery Writers of America.
