Η Μάρω Δούκα είναι πιθανότατα η πιο προικισμένη από όσους πεζογράφους μας εμφανίστηκαν μετά το 1974. Αναδυόμενη από το χθόνιο διήγημα, έκανε μακροβούτι στην δαιμονική νουβέλα και ξανοίχτηκε πια στο "αιρετικό" μυθιστόρημα και πλαγιοδρόμησε στο φιλήσυχο.
