Michel Noël

Michel Noël identifies himself as a "Québécois of Indigenous descent," deeply rooted in his early years spent in an Algonquin environment. He is both an academic and a man of the land, dedicating much of his time to Indigenous reserves and ancestral territories. His prolific literary output spans over fifty works, encompassing children's books, art and craft volumes, plays, poetry, and novels for both youth and adults. Noël sees himself as a storyteller, much like his ancestors, driven by a mission to pass on the wisdom and knowledge he inherited. His writing fosters understanding between peoples and promotes the richness of French language and culture.
