Harrison's "City" has been judged in the USA as the best fantasy novel of the 1970s, destined to remain a classic in its genre. URANIA, a science fiction series, does not publish pure fantasy novels, nor does it publish purely detective, espionage, horror, or supernatural works. However, the discussion changes when fantasy includes works like Simak's "Forbidden Pilgrimage" or Bradbury's "Much After Midnight"; when the detective genre includes Maine's "Murder at the Space Base," and horror includes Herbert's "The Survivor"; when espionage is represented by O'Toole's "An Agent from the Beyond," and the supernatural by Davies' "Psychospecter." In all these cases, fantasy, detective, espionage, horror, and ghosts are also science fiction, and of the highest order. It is unnecessary to add that the remote, fantastic "City" by Harrison falls into this category.
