Lying on the outskirts of seventeenth century Rome, the Casina Borghese was described by celebrated diarist John Evelyn as "an Elysium of delight". Comprising twenty rooms across two floors the main floor is dedicated to classical antiquities of the First to Third centuries and the sculptures displayed - including many by Bernini - remain in the actual places they were intended for.
