Nicolas Grimal is a distinguished French Egyptologist whose academic journey began with a degree in Classics before culminating in a PhD. He has held a professorship at the Sorbonne since 1988, contributing significantly to the field. Grimal's extensive research leadership includes heading the French Institute of Oriental Archaeology in Cairo and directing the Franco-Egyptian Centre for the study of the temples of Karnak. Since 2000, he has occupied the chair of Egyptology at the prestigious Collège de France, furthering our understanding of ancient Egypt.
