The narrative unfolds on two levels: the first portrays the everyday life of a middle-class family in a wealthy suburb, where carefully guarded rituals blend with mundane dramas, all centered around the pursuit of money and maintaining appearances. The second level introduces a dreamlike, fantastical realm where women develop mysterious blood markings, timid husbands turn into invertebrates, and glimpsing the future can be as simple as looking out a window. Both layers are connected by a central theme: regardless of one's magical abilities, wealth, or talent, we ultimately face our lives in solitude.
