Tussoy is the name of an island in Northern Norway. Through black and white photos Ingun Alette Maehlum shows the life of the seven inhabitants living on this remote island. A life closely related to the arctic nature. Timeless, analogue photographs describe the relationship between man, animals, and surroundings. Rough weather can make life hard, but the changes in seasons and weather are at the same time what makes it meaningful. In a place like this, the margins are narrow, and the nature can be dangerous if you do not listen to it and respect it.
