Tato unikátní kniha vznikla díky obdivu pilota a fotografa Milana Paprčky k řece Vltavě. Okouzlen jejím tokem létal nad ní mnoho let. Podlehl jejímu kouzlu, krásám jejích zákoutí, impozantnosti a honosnosti hradů a zámků na jejích březích. Rozhodl se tedy vydat tuto knihu, a to v „roce Vltavy“ u příležitosti 150. výročí prvního uvedení symfonické básně Vltava od Bedřicha Smetany. This unique book was born out of the admiration that pilot and photographer Milan Paprčka holds for the Vltava River. Enchanted by its course, he spent many years flying above it. He succumbed to its spell - its hidden corners of beauty, the majesty of its landscapes, and the grandeur of the castles and châteaux along its banks. It was thus that he decided to publish this book in the 'Year of the Vltava River,' marking the 150th anniversary of the first performance of Bedřich Smetana's symphonic poem The Vltava.
