Der Kardinal König Kunstfonds ist eine Stiftung kirchlichen Rechtes der Erzdiözese Salzburg und mit 27. November 2004 mit dem Zweck begründet Initiativen zum Dialog zwischen KünstlerInnen und römisch-katholischer Kirche zu fördern. Im Mittelpunkt steht die regelmässige Verleihung eines Kunstpreises für ein Werk der bildenden Kunst, wobei die Verleihung des Preises (in der Höhe von | 10.000) alle zwei Jahre stattfindet.
