Patří mezi několik málo textů, u nichž není pochybnost, že náleží k žánru hejchalotické literatury. Tímto termínem se označují pozoruhodné, u nás téměř neznámé texty, obsahující záznamy o mystických vizích lidí, kteří si říkali jordej merkava. Tato literatura se obvykle datuje do prvních několika století obecného letopočtu, vychází však z ještě starších tradic z období druhého Chrámu.
