Haak shares his deep passion for the prairie falcon and its habits in this fascinating story of his journey to understand and record the behaviour of this spirited bird of prey. Haak's rich prose probes intimately into both the life of the birds ass well as the unfolding of his own philosophy and experience of life. Beautifully illustrated with 76 full color photos, Pirates of the Plains is a splendid addition to the aviary studies.
