This miraculous tale follows Dion Leonard, an experienced ultramarathon runner who encounters a scrappy stray dog during a grueling 150-mile race through the Gobi Desert. The dog, later named “Gobi,” may be small, but her heart and determination shine as she keeps pace with Dion over challenging terrains, including the Tian Shan Mountains and vast sand dunes, for nearly 80 miles. As Dion witnesses Gobi's incredible spirit, his own perspective shifts; he begins to prioritize their friendship over winning.
